Key ResponsibilitiesRequirements
- Providing personal care, including assistance with washing, dressing, toileting, and continence care.
- Supporting residents with mobility and repositioning where required.
- Carrying out regular welfare checks throughout the night.
- Responding promptly and compassionately to resident requests and call bells.
- Assisting residents who may be anxious, confused, or require emotional reassurance during the night.
- Administering or assisting with medication (where trained and authorised).
- Maintaining accurate care records and completing all required documentation.
- Ensuring residents remain safe, comfortable, and secure throughout the shift.
- Supporting residents with food and drinks when required.
- Reporting any concerns, incidents, or changes in a resident's condition to senior staff.
- Promoting dignity, privacy, choice, and independence at all times.
- Assisting with light housekeeping duties to maintain a clean and safe environment.
