- Perform thorough cleaning of designated areas, including floors, surfaces, windows, and fixtures using appropriate cleaning agents and equipment.
- Maintain hygiene standards in accordance with health and safety regulations.
- Dispose of waste materials safely and responsibly.
- Restock supplies such as soap, paper towels, and cleaning materials as needed.
- Follow detailed cleaning schedules and protocols to ensure all areas are maintained to the highest standard.
- Assist with specialised cleaning tasks in hospital environments or other healthcare settings as required.
- Report any maintenance issues or safety hazards to management promptly.
- Adhere to infection control procedures and use personal protective equipment (PPE) appropriately.
Skills
- Proven experience in commercial cleaning or janitorial roles is desirable.
- Previous hospital or healthcare environment experience is advantageous.
- Strong attention to detail with organisational skills to manage multiple tasks efficiently.
- Ability to work independently and as part of a team in a fast-paced environment.
- Good communication skills to understand instructions and report issues clearly.
- Physically fit with the ability to perform repetitive cleaning tasks and lift light loads where necessary.
