Within walking distance of the pretty historic market town of Llandovery, and on the edge of the Brecon Beacons National Park. Blaenos House cares for 38 residents living with dementia and/or requiring nursing care. In early 2025, we have been recognised as one of the Top 20 Care Homes in Wales by Carehome.co.uk. Our home focuses on delivering exceptional standards of personalised care and ensuring residents and their families feel supported and respected.This is an exciting opportunity to really get to know our residents and provide them with a variety of stimulating activities that not only promote physical but also mental and social wellbeing. You'll need to be warm, empathetic and personable to join us as a Wellbeing Coordinator. You will be responsible for:
- Arranging entertainment and maintaining appropriate documentation in line with the monthly activities budget
- Organising in-house and other events such as Christmas parties, Easter events, summer fares and bonfire parties etc. Ensure that adequate supplies are purchased for the events whilst still working within the set budget
- Experience is not essential as we will support you with training
- It is important is that you are caring enthusiastic and have energy to share
Desirable Skills
- Have the ability to communicate effectively both verbally and in writing.
- Have a positive attitude to both supporting and nurturing residents and staff.
- Be responsive and flexible to cover a range of responsibilities.
