Job description
Drive is a registered charity established in 1981, dedicated to supporting people with learning disabilities to live in quality housing within their local communities. We are passionate about helping individuals increase their independence, make their own choices, and live fulfilling lives. We also recognise the importance of a positive work/life balance for our staff - values reflected in our Investors in People accreditation.
We are a supportive, friendly place to work, and we are committed to delivering high‑quality care. If you share our passion for empowering people, we would love to hear from you.

Main Duties
- Provide practical support to help people live independently - budgeting, paying bills, housework, organising appointments, and preparing meals.
- Assist with personal care and health needs - attending appointments, supporting with medication, and helping individuals get ready for the day (bathing, showering, bathroom support).
- Offer emotional support with empathy and active listening, helping individuals make informed decisions and exercise their rights.
- Encourage and empower individuals to express their views and participate in decision‑making at both individual and organisational levels.
- Maintain accurate records, including personal information, house records, communication books, diaries, food logs, and expenditure records.
- Administer and record medication in line with Drive's policies and procedures.
