Duties
- Assist residents or clients with daily activities such as bathing, dressing, grooming, and mobility to ensure comfort and safety
- Support individuals in adhering to their personalized care plans, ensuring their needs and preferences are met with respect and kindness
- Provide companionship and emotional support to promote mental well-being and social engagement
- Help with meal preparation, feeding, and ensuring proper nutrition according to individual dietary requirements
- Maintain accurate records of care provided, including updates on health status and any changes observed
- Communicate effectively with team members, family members, and healthcare professionals to ensure coordinated care delivery
- Support transportation needs by driving clients to appointments or activities when required
Skills
- Experience working in a care home or home care environment is desirable but not essential; training will be provided
- Ability to understand and follow detailed care plans tailored to each individual's needs
- Excellent communication skills to build trusting relationships with clients, families, and colleagues
- Fluency in English to effectively understand instructions and convey information clearly
- Strong interpersonal skills with a caring attitude and patience when supporting vulnerable individuals
