Job description

Here at Primrose House Residential Care Home, are currently looking for a Senior Care Assistant to join our caring, enthusiastic, and supportive team.

Position: Senior Care Assistant

Job Type: Fulltime | 38.5 hours per week

Location: Crowhall Lane, Gateshead, Tyne and Wear

We offer specialist residential dementia care, in a peaceful and safe environment for individuals with dementia, and with long term illness. We are very passionate about providing the very best care in our residential home, helping our residents to live longer, healthier and a happier life. We are at present looking for individuals who are passionate and enthusiastic about developing a career in care.

Responsibilities:

Main responsibilities involve being a supportive and important member of a caring team, participate fully in the delivery of care with quality and standard.

  • You will be taking responsibility of the wellbeing of residents and their needs.
  • Assisting with personal care for example washing, dressing personal hygiene, and helping with meals
  • Encouraging residents with independence, dignity, and respect as well as choice by the providing the highest level of care.
  • Also completing care records and keeping them up-to-date and accurate
  • Undertaking training which is ongoing

Requirements:

  • Excellent communication skills and the ability to work well as part of a dedicated team
  • A respectful, courteous and compassionate nature and a willingness to undertake any aspects of care or non-care duties
  • A belief in always giving your personal best and striving for continuous improvement.
