Job Overview
We are seeking a skilled and proactive Maintenance Person to join our team. This role involves performing a wide range of maintenance tasks within the care home. The ideal candidate will have strong mechanical, electrical, and troubleshooting skills, with the ability to work independently or supervise maintenance activities as needed. This position offers an opportunity to contribute to the safety, efficiency, and functionality of our facilities through expert maintenance and repair work.

Responsibilities

Perform routine and preventive maintenance on machinery, equipment, and facilities to ensure optimal operation.

Troubleshoot electrical systems using schematics and tools such as ohmmeters; repair or replace faulty components.

Read and interpret schematics, technical manuals, and maintenance documentation.

Utilize CMMS (Computerized Maintenance Management System) for work order management and documentation.

Supervise or assist with maintenance projects, ensuring safety standards are met.

Maintain a clean, safe, and organized work environment in compliance with safety regulations.

Assist with customer service tasks related to facilities maintenance when necessary.

Skills

experience in care home maintenance and manufacturing environments.

Residential painting experience is a plus for facility aesthetic upkeep. .

Supervising experience demonstrating leadership capabilities in maintenance projects.

Excellent communication skills in English for clear documentation and team coordination.

Knowledge of schematics, technical manuals, and troubleshooting procedures is essential.

Customer service orientation to address internal or external client needs effectively. This Maintenance Person role is vital for maintaining operational excellence across our facilities through expert repair, proactive maintenance, and leadership in safety standards.
