Job Overview: As a Housekeeper, you will be responsible for maintaining a clean, safe, and welcoming environment for our residents. Your attention to detail and commitment to cleanliness will play a crucial role in ensuring their comfort and satisfaction. This is an excellent opportunity for individuals who enjoy working in a supportive and caring environment.
Key Responsibilities:
- Perform routine cleaning tasks, such as dusting, vacuuming, sweeping, mopping, and polishing surfaces in resident rooms, common areas, and staff spaces.
- Ensure high standards of cleanliness and hygiene are maintained in all areas, including bathrooms, dining areas, lounges, hallways, and offices.
- Collect, sort, wash, dry, and fold laundry, while ensuring the proper care and handling of residents' clothing and linens.
- Adhere to established infection control policies and procedures, following cleaning protocols to prevent the spread of infections.
- Coordinate and collaborate with other staff members to ensure seamless operations and effective communication.
- Respond promptly and courteously to residents' requests, providing assistance and support when needed.
Qualifications and Skills:
- Previous experience in housekeeping, janitorial services, or a similar role is preferred.
- Knowledge of proper cleaning techniques, infection control protocols, and safe use of cleaning chemicals and equipment.
- Strong attention to detail and commitment to maintaining high cleanliness standards.
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
- Physical stamina to perform cleaning tasks and lift/move heavy objects if required.
- Reliable, punctual, and able to work flexible hours, including weekends and holidays.
- Understanding and sensitivity towards the needs and privacy of older adults.
