Job Overview
We are seeking a compassionate and dedicated Care Assistant to join our team. The successful candidate will play a vital role in supporting individuals within care homes and providing home care services. - Assist residents or clients with daily activities such as washing, dressing, and mobility support
- Support the development and implementation of personalised care plans in collaboration with healthcare professionals
- Provide companionship and emotional support to individuals under your care
- Maintain accurate records of care provided, observations, and any changes in condition
- Assist with medication administration as per prescribed instructions
- Support clients with household tasks including light cleaning and meal preparation
- accompany clients to appointments or outings as required
- Communicate effectively with team members, residents, or clients to ensure their needs are met promptly and compassionately
Requirements
- Experience working within a care home or providing home care is desirable
- Knowledge of care plans and the ability to follow them accurately
- Good command of English, both spoken and written, for effective communication
- Basic IT skills for record keeping and documentation purposes
- Excellent communication skills with a caring and empathetic approach towards clients or residents
- Ability to work independently and as part of a team
- Flexibility to work various shifts including mornings, evenings, or weekends if necessary
