Assistant Team Leader- Residential Services

Nestled within beautiful, tranquil grounds, Acorn Village was established in the mid-1970s with a vision of providing outstanding person-centred care and support. Today, we continue to promote the wellbeing, independence, and quality of life of our residents and tenants, while valuing and supporting our dedicated staff and volunteers.
We are seeking an enthusiastic and committed Assistant Team Leader to join our management team within one of our residential homes, supporting up to four adults with learning disabilities.
This is a rewarding opportunity to play a key role in leading and supporting the staff team, helping to promote the organisation's values and objectives, and empowering the people we support to live as independently as possible.
The successful candidate will have experience working within a similar care setting and will join an established and supportive team.
What we're looking for
To be considered for interview, you should:
- Have at least 18 months' vocational experience, ideally within a supervisory role, or have undertaken elements of a management position.
- Hold an NVQ Level III qualification or have completed NVQ Level II and be willing to work towards Level III.
- Be committed to ongoing learning and development, undertaking relevant training and sharing knowledge with colleagues.
- Take a proactive approach and be passionate about finding innovative ways to enhance the lives of the people we support.
- Have excellent communication skills, both written and verbal, alongside strong organisational abilities.
- Demonstrate flexibility in your approach to work.
