Make a real difference every day with Dimensions

At Dimensions, we believe it's not just about care - it's about supporting people to live the life they choose. As a Support Worker in one of our homes in Luton, you'll play a vital role in helping two gentlemen with autism and learning disabilities live fulfilling, independent lives.

If you're patient, caring, and want a job with purpose, this could be the role for you.

About the people you'll support

You'll be supporting two gentlemen who enjoy:

  • Going to church
  • Trips to the cinema
  • Walking and being out in the community
  • Playing pool and going bowling
  • Shopping and exploring charity shops
  • Cars (both model and real!)
  • Going to discos

They also need emotional reassurance and consistent support, so being calm, understanding, and patient is key.

What you'll be doing

This is a varied, meaningful role where no two days are the same. You will:

  • Provide emotional support and reassurance
  • Support daily routines and independence
  • Help manage and respond to mental health needs
  • Encourage and enable community activities and hobbies
  • Build trusted relationships through consistency and patience
  • Promote dignity, choice and inclusion at all times

Shift patterns (30 hours per week)

  • Early: 7:30am - 3:00pm
  • Late: 2:30pm - 10:00pm
  • Sleep-ins: At least 1 per week (paid £50 per sleep)

Flexibility is essential to meet the needs of the people we support.

What we're looking for

You don't need previous experience - we'll provide full training. What matters most is who you are:

  • Compassionate, patient and empathetic
  • Calm under pressure
  • A great communicator
  • Committed to supporting people's wellbeing
  • Willing to learn and develop

We welcome applications from all genders and backgrounds - diversity makes us stronger.

Why join Dimensions?
