We are looking for an outstanding Catering Assistant who's passionate about food and wants to make a difference.

You'll be working 24 hours a week, working from 8.30am to 4pm at Tabley House Nursing Home , creating an excellent experience for the people in

The rota includes weekend working plus 1 day during the week.

Tabley House Nursing Home is located in the beautiful Cheshire countryside in acres of parklands. The service is set within a stunning 18th century country house.

It's difficult to put into words the care and support offered at Tabley House. There's warmth all around - from the friendly welcome as you arrive, to the nursing and care staff looking after your every need, to our unique and individual bedrooms. Your Day-to-Day...

• Assist the team in the providing balanced, appetising meals
• Perform basic food preparation, cooking tasks & other kitchen duties
• Wash utensils, dishes & make sure they are stored appropriately
• Sort, store & distribute ingredients, check deliveries and assist with stock ordering
• Maintain personal hygiene and ensure the kitchen is clean & hygienic
• Handle, maintain & store kitchen equipment in accordance with Cygnet procedures
• Use chemicals in line with Control of Substances Hazardous to Health (COSHH) regulations

You are...

• Passionate about catering, preferably with experience within a care setting
• Enthusiastic, keen to learn and an active team member
• Polite & professional, with a positive attitude at all times
• An excellent communicator who can liaise with people at all levels
• Able to work on your own initiative & under supervision
• Diligent & take pride in maintaining the highest standards of cleanliness
