Job description

About the Service - Woodcote Grove

Woodcote Grove is situated on a busy residential road within walking distance of Coulsdon. Close to local shops. Woodcote Grove has a well maintained garden and a friendly atmosphere.

Woodcote Grove is a care home which provides care and support for up to 6 people with learning disabilities or autistic spectrum disorder with additional physical disability needs.

The Role

You will:

• To participate in the day to day implementation of individual support plans and activities within a challenging environment.
• To maintain effective communication and liaison with service users, families and others whilst respecting appropriate confidentiality.
• To support service users with the preparation of Meals, Laundry duties, cleaning and social events.
• To maintain accurate notes and records as and when required.
• To work as part of a team to provide high quality care.

Who We're Looking For

We're seeking people who are caring, patient, and respectful, with a positive and resilient approach. You should be confident working independently and within a team, have good communication skills, basic IT and written abilities, and be flexible and reliable.

Requirements

• Willingness to work towards Level 2 in Health and Social Care
• Ability to work unsociable hours on a rota basis
• Drivers desirable but not essential
• Enhanced DBS required (paid for by CareTech)
