Cygnet Group are looking for a professional, ambitious and confident Senior Support Worker (Nights) to join our team at Oakhurst Lodge.

You'll be working 42 Hours a Week, working Nights Only, covering 12-hour shifts on a rota basis, including weekends, making a positive difference to the lives of the people in our care.

The Service:

Oakhurst Lodge is an 8 placement specialist residential service for adults with autism and learning disabilities who may present with behaviours that challenge. We aim to provide a safe, comfortable and effective care environment for those in our care, promoting independence and community integration.

Your Day-to-Day:

  • Offer enhanced care with a flexible learning approach to all individuals in our care
  • Provide guidance & encouragement through physical & emotional support
  • Learn about individuals' specific needs & provide help in the most appropriate way
  • Assist with medical & welfare needs & report as required
  • Support management in the running of the service
  • Undertake supervisory & administrative responsibilities
  • Safeguard
  • Maintain a safe and clean environment for all.

We're looking for people who have:

  • Excellent communication and leadership skills, and the ability to be a good team player
  • Sensitive an d intuitive with the energy required to provide a trusting, stimulating & varied environment
  • Helping to empower & support service user independence.
  • Flexible to work 12-hour shift patterns on a rota basis, including weekends
  • NVQ level 2 or equivalent in a relevant care setting is preferable but not essential
