Job Title Fundraising Manager

Responsible to Chief Executive Officer

Salary £42,000 - £45,000 depending on experience

Hours 37 hours per week

Staff Responsibility 3 direct reports and fundraising volunteers

Base Hybrid - with regular travel across Cheshire, Halton and North East Wales

About Vision Support

Vision Support is a long-established charity supporting people living with sight loss across North East Wales, Cheshire and Halton. As we approach our 150th anniversary, we are entering an exciting period of growth and development.

We are expanding our fundraising team to build sustainable income streams that will allow us to support more people affected by sight loss.

Purpose of the Role

The Fundraising Manager will lead the development and delivery of Vision Support's fundraising strategy, identifying and developing new income opportunities while strengthening relationships with supporters, businesses and partners.

The role will provide leadership to the fundraising team, ensuring fundraising activity is strategic, sustainable and aligned with the charity's long-term ambitions.

Key Responsibilities

Fundraising Strategy

· Develop and implement a costed fundraising strategy aligned with Vision Support's strategic objectives.

· Identify opportunities to diversify income streams, including corporate partnerships, major donors, community fundraising, grants and events.

· Lead fundraising campaigns and initiatives.

· Set and monitor fundraising income targets.

Corporate Partnerships & Major Donors

· Lead on relationships with major donors and philanthropic supporters.

· Oversee relationships with corporate partners and sponsors.

· Identify and secure opportunities for high-value partnerships and donations.

· Steward key donor relationships to maximise long-term support.

Team Leadership

· Provide leadership and professional support to the Fundraising team.

· Support Fundraisers to develop their specialisms across different income streams.

· Encourage collaboration across teams to maximise fundraising opportunities.

Monitoring & Reporting

· Monitor fundraising performance and provide reports on achievements towards fundraising targets.

· Ensure accurate recording of supporter and fundraising data.

· Produce fundraising reports for the CEO and Board of Trustees.

Collaboration

· Work closely with the communications and marketing team to ensure fundraising campaigns are effectively promoted.

· Work closely with the Finance Manager to ensure financial risks are suitably managed and processes are streamlined.

· Support colleagues across the organisation to identify fundraising opportunities linked to services and activities.

Compliance & Governance

Ensure fundraising activities comply with:

· Fundraising Regulator Code of Fundraising Practice

· Charity Commission guidance

· GDPR and data protection legislation

· Ensure ethical and transparent fundraising practices

Person Specification

Essential

· Experience in fundraising, income generation, business development or sales.

· Demonstrable experience of developing and delivering income strategies.

· Strong networking and relationship-building skills.

· Experience managing projects and delivering financial targets.

· Excellent communication and influencing skills.

· Ability to lead and motivate staff or volunteers.

· Strong organisational and planning skills.

Desirable

· Experience within the charity or voluntary sector.

· Experience securing corporate partnerships or major gifts.

· Knowledge of fundraising regulation and best practice.

· Experience and knowledge of grant applications.

· Experience and knowledge of fundraising software packages.

· Experience of project management.
