Job description

Full time Deputy Service Manager

We are seeking a dedicated, proactive, compassionate and experienced care professional to manage the delivery of care for children and adults with learning disabilities and complex health needs and elderly and frail adults within their own homes and in the community.

You will work in partnership with our Registered Nurse and the Service Manager, leading a team of carers to ensure every client receives high-quality, person- centred and dignified care.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Compliance: Maintain a "Good" or "Outstanding" CQC rating; manage audits, safeguarding, and health & safety.
  • Staff Leadership: Manage a team of carers, completing office and field supervisions and annual appraisals with the HR Officer.
  • Business Growth: Conduct initial assessments for new clients and build strong relationships with local authorities, health professionals and families.
  • Quality Assurance: Regularly review care plans, and conduct spot checks to ensure the highest standards of person-centred care.
  • On-Call: To hold the emergency on-call phone once a month.

Required Skills & Experience:

  • Qualifications: Must hold (or be working towards) Level 5 Diploma in Leadership and Management for Adult Care (or equivalent).
  • Experience: Previous experience as a Manager in the Care Sector would be preferred. Experience in providing specialist healthcare, domiciliary care and support for children with learning disabilities is essential.
  • Driver: A full UK driving licence and access to a vehicle is required for community visits.

Benefits:
