Cygnet Group are currently looking for an experienced Autism Support Worker (Days) to join our dedicated team at The Squirrels.
About the RoleWe are offering a 42‑hour contract, working a variety of daytime shifts. Some shifts may start at 7 am, while others may finish at 10 pm, across a 7‑day rota (including two weekends per month).
As an Autism Support Worker, you will:
About The Squirrels
Support and assist residents in their day‑to‑day lives
Encourage independence while helping with cooking, cleaning and personal care
Accompany residents to community activities such as cinema trips, swimming, local events and even nightclubs
Promote personal development and help individuals learn new life skills
Update and maintain accurate records to monitor health and wellbeing
Provide emotional and physical support in a compassionate, person‑centred way
The Squirrels is a 9‑bed specialist residential service for adults with autism and learning disabilities who may present with behaviours that challenge. Our aim is to provide a safe, comfortable and empowering environment that promotes independence, confidenc e and community integration.

What We Look For
Salary: £12.86 - £13.36 per hour

Previous experience supporting adults with Autism or Learning Disabilities
Understanding of challenging behaviour

Flexibility to support a range of community‑based activities (required)
