Salary: £29,642.55 per year

Hours: Full time - 40 hours

Contract: 12 month fixed term contract to cover maternity

We are looking for a passionate Assistant Psychologist to join our team at Cygnet Grange and Lodge.

Cygnet Hospital Grange and Lodge are two 8 bed Neuropsychiatric rehabilitation, care and treatment facilities for those affected by acquired brain injuries. The services provides a safe and secure place to aid recovery as well as offering those diagnosed with a progressive neurological disease, like Huntington's Disease, a caring and long term placement to support and help manage the progression of their symptoms.

Your Day-to-Day…

We are seeking an academically strong candidate to support and enhance the psychological care of patients at the service by assisting the Psychology department with;

  • Contributing to direct and indirect assessments, scoring and reporting (verbal / written).
  • Adapting assessment methods, intervention materials in accordance with clients' communication difficulties, sensory needs or cognitive impairment.
  • Clinical/neuropsychologic al formulation and implementing care plans for psychological treatment
  • To oversee the gathering and collation of incident data and evidence as part of the functional analysis and formulation.
  • Communicating results, formulations and recommendations arising from assessments to the multidisciplinary team.
  • Planning, delivering and evaluating individual / group programmes.
  • Administration, audit, research and service development.
  • You would receive weekly supervision as well as informal support and development opportunities.

We're looking for someone who is…

  • Degree qualified in Psychology (2:1 or above) or equivalent
  • BPS (British Psychological Society) Accredited
  • Qualified to Master's degree level or higher in Psychology (preferable)
  • Experienced in an Assistant Psychologist role (preferable)
  • Passionate about neuro rehabilitation, learning, and working as part of a multidisciplinary

Please note: successful candidates will be required to undergo an enhanced DBS check.
