We are looking for an Assistant Psychologist to join our team at Cygnet Hospital Bury - Dunes.
This role will be working full time, 40 hours per week (Monday to Friday).
Cygnet Bury Dunes provides a wide range of inpatient mental health services for men and women including specialist deaf services and emergency admission services.This role will be working across South Hampton and White House wards.
South Hampton Ward is a 12 bed male PICU that accepts emergency and crisis admissions. Referrals come to us from all areas, including acute and prison services.
White House is Cygnet Bury Dunes's 18 bed male acute service. The service provides a safe and stabilising environment for men who are experiencing an acute episode of mental illness and require an emergency admission.
Your Day-to-Day…
We are seeking an academically strong candidate to support and enhance the psychological care of patients at the service by assisting the Qualified Psychologist with;
• Contributing to assessments, scoring and reporting (verbal / written)
• Clinical formulation and implementing care plans for psychological treatment
• Planning, delivering and evaluating individual / group programmes
• Administration, audit, research and service development
We're looking for someone w ho is…
• Degree qualified in Psychology (2:1 or above) or equivalent
• BPS (British Psychological Society) Accredited
• Preferably experienced in health care and/or in an Assistant Psychologist role
• Passionate about learning and working as part of an interdisciplinary team
• Qualified to Master's degree level or higher in Psychology (preferable)
