We are looking for a confident Activity Lead Care & Support Worker with a passion for delivering outstanding healthcare.
You'll be working 36 hours a week (4 x 9 hour shifts, alternate weekends, shift patterns may vary due to service user activities), making a positive difference to the lives of the people in our care at Dene Brook.
A requirement of this role is to have a manual driving license, held for at least two years, as you will be taking the service users into the community using the company vehicle.

Your day-to-day…
This role is an activity lead support worker role, where you will be supporting the service users on a one to one basis, but also leading on activities for the service users - this could include:
- Encouraging service users to access and become involved in a variety of activities as well maintaining any pre-existing hobbies.
- Planning and implementing therapy/hobby programmes whilst ensuring appropriate materials are obtained
- Contributing ideas, facilitating events and activities in a safe manner
- A creative flair and the ability to work as part of a interdisciplinary team
- An awareness of person-centred approaches and social inclusion
Support worker duties:
Offer enhanced care with a flexible learning approach for all the people in our care
Provide guidance & encouragement through physical & emotional support
Learn about individuals' specific needs & provide help in the most appropriate way
Assist with and report on medical & welfare needs
Safeguard
Maintain a safe, clean environment for all
Supporting service users to access the community, to attend things like work, college, hobbies & activities, days out & holidays
Supporting the service users to grow, develop & learn through engaging them in tasks such as cooking & cleaning
