An exciting opportunity has arisen for a motivated individual to join our Commercial Finance Team on a full‑time basis at our Kings Hill office in Kent (ME19 4AE).
This is a hybrid role, with two days per week based in the office and three days working from home.
This is an exciting and diverse role within the Commercial Finance Team to work directly with operations, providing financial insight and helping to drive optimal business decisions.
As Senior Commercial Finance Analyst you will partner with key stakeholders in various parts of the organisation, but in particular supporting at a service, regional and departmental level, with the aim of improving service performance.
Additionally you will be integral to the budget setting process; engaging with the operations team to set stretching but realistic targets and supporting management in achieving them.
This role would be ideal for an ambitious individual, who is seeking to progress and develop their career in finance.
Job Description
- Interpret financial results and provide insight to key stakeholders.
- Monitor and challenge weekly KPIs to help the business meet its objectives; track actions and see through to completion.
- Review site level profitability with a particular focus on staff costs to support the CFM in challenging overspends.
- Support and help man age the budget setting process.
- Help develop and take ownership of key data sources and trackers.
- Develop strong, professional relationships with all levels of the business to support managers in taking ownership of their financial performance.
- Willing to occasionally visit sites to lead monthly accounts call, provide support and build relationships with key stakeholders.
- Be comfortable deputising for the Commercial Finance Manager when required.
- To maintain the funding model, provide and complete fee breakdowns, ensuring information is provided to the Commissioning Team on a timely basis.
- Ad hoc projects and analysis.
Person Specification
- Strong MS Excel skills are essential.
- Working towards a recognised accounting qualification.
- Excellent stakeholder relationship management skills.
- Proactive and ambitious, looking to grow and develop with the role.
- Prior experience of working in a Management Accounts and/or Finance Analyst role is advantageous.
